Special PRIV Tips:

1. Emoji's in BlackBerry Virtual Keyboard

YES! The BlackBerry Virtual Keyboard on the Priv supports a lot of emoji's and can be easily accessed! 

Step 1: Select any input area and let the virtual keyboard pop up

Step 2: Long press 'Full Stop' key in the bottom beside the space bar

Step 3: Select the Emoji key on the top right and there you have em! 

 

 

2. Tap to Wake

Many Android's out there have this feature and people love it!

Step 1: Swipe left from within the Hub to show the accounts menu 

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom and select Settings 

Step 3: Scroll down and select Display

Step 4: Toggle 'Wake-up Gestures' 

 

 

3. Restrict Background Data

To reduce the amount of data your device uses, you can stop apps and services from sending data in the background when your device is connected to the mobile network

Step 1: Swipe left from within the Hub to show the accounts menu 

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom and select Settings 

Step 3: Scroll down and select Data Usage

Step 4: Select the three vertical dots on the top

Step 5: Select Restrict Background Data

 

BlackBerry 10 Tips:

4. Manage Sections in the Hub

You can hide the sections/accounts/apps you do not wish to view in the Hub. Here's how:

Step 1: Go to the Hub

Step 2: Select the Overflow option in the bottom left and tap Settings

Step 3: Select Hub Management

Step 4: You'll get a list of apps available in the Hub. Select the app and you can edit or hide the account

 

5. Enable Do Not Track in the Browser

The latest BlackBerry 10 update brought along this feature. It tells websites that you do not want your activity to be tracked.

Step 1: Go to the Browser

Step 2: Select the Overflow option in the bottom left and tap Settings

Step 3: Select Privacy and Security

Step 4: Toggle On Do Not Track and you're good to go!
